The best MCP server and Claude connector developers in 2026

The best MCP server developer for a software company builds a remote server that passes directory review: Anthropic's directory takes only remote servers over HTTPS, and every tool needs a title and a readOnlyHint or destructiveHint. RaftLabs publishes a fixed starting price for a focused first release and Ronas IT publishes package floors; Simform is an Anthropic Select partner for enterprise Claude programs; Saigon Technology, Intuz, WiserBrand, Azumo, 10Clouds, Bitontree and Streebo build MCP servers inside wider engineering services. On the pages we read, none of them mentions a Claude directory listing. We, Modern Mustard Seed, publish this guide: Nine of our own connectors are listed in Anthropic's Claude directory, and we have published 15 servers in the official MCP Registry. If your own engineers will own the server, generators such as Speakeasy and Stainless are the other route. Every fact below was read from each firm's own site on October 26, 2026.

01 · Best for a fixed-price first release with a published starting price

RaftLabs

Builds bounded MCP servers that expose a small, typed set of business tools to compatible AI clients, with delegated identity, confirmation before writes and audit records. Its team is primarily based in India, with business functions across the US, UK and Europe.

Strengths

  • A fixed price agreed before development, paid by milestone, from a published starting point.
  • The agent acts only for the signed-in user, never a shared master account.
  • A 60-day post-launch warranty with no retainer; per its AI development page, you own the project code and agreed IP.

Watch for

  • By its own statement, RaftLabs does not yet publish a named MCP server client case.
  • Each extra AI client is scoped and tested on its own, so cost grows with each one.
  • Its MCP page does not mention a Claude directory listing.

PriceA focused MCP release "Starts at $10000," per RaftLabs; more clients, systems or write paths extend the plan.

02 · Best for published package floors with timelines

Ronas IT

A firm with its legal address in Tallinn, Estonia that builds custom MCP servers end to end and helps set up clients such as Claude Desktop to use them.

Strengths

  • Publishes three package floors, each with a timeline.
  • CI/CD, runbooks, documentation and knowledge transfer, with support after launch.
  • Open-source MCP servers on GitHub in TypeScript and Python.

Watch for

  • Package prices are floors; every project still gets a custom estimate.
  • Sign-in is by company single sign-on; OAuth is not named on its MCP page.
  • Apart from one marketplace build, its case studies are related non-MCP projects.

PriceSimple MCP server $3,200 and up (2 to 4 weeks), fully functional solution $6,400 and up (4 to 8 weeks), full-scale enterprise solution $10,000 and up (3 to 6+ months).

03 · Best for an enterprise that wants an Anthropic Select partner

Simform

An Anthropic Select Partner in the Claude Partner Network that builds Claude into enterprise systems, with MCP, connectors, plugins and APIs as part of its Claude engineering practice.

Strengths

  • Select partner standing, with Anthropic partner resources and technical support in client programs.
  • Deploys through the Claude API or Microsoft Foundry, and offers managed Claude operations after launch.
  • A co-engineering model meant to leave your team able to run it.

Watch for

  • Its contact form starts at a $25K to $50K budget.
  • Its MCP work is described on its Anthropic partnership page, which does not state code ownership terms.

04 · Best for a connector built, submitted to both directories and run for you

Modern Mustard Seed(that's us)

That's us. We design, build, submit and run custom MCP connectors that put a software company's product inside Claude and ChatGPT, on your real API, and the code lands in your repository. Nine of our own connectors are listed in Anthropic's Claude directory, and we have published 15 servers in the official MCP Registry.

Strengths

  • OAuth sign-in, so each customer connects their own account; read tools split from write tools, each with a title and a read-only or destructive hint.
  • An approval step before any write, an eval set, docs and privacy pages, and the submissions to Anthropic's Claude directory and to ChatGPT.
  • Four set packages, from a reviewed design your own engineers build to upkeep after launch.

Watch for

  • The listing decision belongs to Anthropic and OpenAI, not to us.
  • Changes to your own API behind the connector are not part of the build.
  • No published price; we quote a set package after a discovery call.

05 · Best for interviewing the engineers and running a trial first

Saigon Technology

A Vietnam-based engineering firm, with its head office in Ho Chi Minh City and offices in Reston, Virginia, Australia and Singapore, that builds custom MCP servers on the official Python and TypeScript SDKs over your databases, APIs and internal tools.

Strengths

  • OAuth 2.1, least-privilege scoping per user and per agent, and audit logging on every server.
  • Deploys to Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudflare Workers or on premises.
  • Interview the engineers and run a two-week trial before committing.

Watch for

  • By its own statement, the case studies on its MCP page are not MCP projects.
  • No package or fixed project price is published; cost is project-based.
  • Its MCP page does not mention a Claude directory listing.

PriceNot published as a package. Its FAQ puts a proof of concept at 2 to 4 weeks and a production server at 1 to 3 months.

06 · Best for MCP inside a wider enterprise automation program

Intuz

A firm with a US office in San Ramon, California and an office in Ahmedabad, India that designs and builds production MCP servers wrapping SaaS platforms, custom APIs, cloud services and on-premise apps.

Strengths

  • Fixed-scope builds, dedicated delivery pods or continuous optimization programs.
  • Many teams start with a 4 to 8 week MVP, per Intuz.
  • Deploys to cloud, hybrid or on premises with production monitoring and logging.

Watch for

  • OAuth is not named; it says every integration enforces authentication, authorization and scoped access.
  • Scope reaches into agent setup and orchestration, so a quote may cover more than a server.
  • No published price; an estimate follows a discovery workshop.

PriceNot published.

07 · Best for an OpenAPI-led build narrowed to the tools AI actually needs

WiserBrand

A New York firm with an R&D center in Buenos Aires that builds custom MCP servers as a governed layer between AI apps and your APIs, databases and permissions. With a usable OpenAPI definition, it starts there and narrows it into tools suited to AI use.

Strengths

  • A typical launch in 4 to 8 weeks, per WiserBrand.
  • Technical documentation and handover on custom builds.
  • Optional maintenance as MCP clients and protocol versions change.

Watch for

  • Model, platform, cloud and licensing costs sit outside its estimate.
  • Approval screens and agent orchestration are separate scope from the server.
  • No published price, and code ownership is not stated.

PriceNot published. An estimate follows discovery.

08 · Best for servers deployed in your own cloud or on premises

Azumo

A San Francisco firm with nearshore teams across Latin America that builds MCP servers connecting AI agents to your data, tools and workflows, then maintains them.

Strengths

  • "Modular servers you own," per Azumo.
  • Deploys in your private cloud, VPC or on premises when data sovereignty requires it.
  • SOC 2 certified, per Azumo.

Watch for

  • Its MCP page mixes a build service with staff augmentation.
  • No published MCP price; it starts with a free consultation.

PriceNot published.

09 · Best for financial services companies

10Clouds

A Warsaw software house that builds custom MCP servers for internal systems, or remote servers that give your own customers access to tools, and manages them.

Strengths

  • OAuth 2.1, API key management and least-privilege design.
  • Hosts locally over stdio or remotely in the cloud, with support after launch.
  • Its ChatGPT apps page says it prepares apps for OpenAI's review.

Watch for

  • Its MCP proof is an in-house platform that works in a way similar to MCP servers, not a named client build.
  • No published price, and code ownership is not stated.

PriceNot published.

10 · Best for a small team that keeps running the server after launch

Bitontree

An Ahmedabad, India firm that builds MCP servers giving AI agents governed access to your tools, databases and APIs, and keeps running them as your stack changes.

Strengths

  • A tool call carries the caller's permissions, not a shared service account.
  • Least-privilege permissions, tool-use logging and monitoring on every server.
  • Built MCP infrastructure giving 130+ AI agents governed access for GrowStack, per Bitontree.

Watch for

  • A small firm by its own numbers: 40+ professionals.
  • Maintenance is promised without stated terms or duration, and no price is published.

PriceNot published.

11 · Best for an enterprise on watsonx, Copilot Studio or Bedrock that wants catalog building blocks

Streebo

A Houston, Texas firm that sells a catalog of pre-built, customizable MCP servers for enterprise systems, built on platforms such as IBM watsonx Orchestrate, Google Gemini Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot Studio and AWS Bedrock.

Strengths

  • Pre-built catalog components as a faster starting point.
  • OAuth 2.1, role-based access, encryption and audit logs.
  • Designed to work with Anthropic Claude, OpenAI and Azure OpenAI.

Watch for

  • The page does not say whether catalog components are licensed or handed over as owned code.
  • No published price; it depends on the number of MCPs and integrations.

PriceNot published.

How we picked
  • We read each firm's own MCP service page, contact page and any published pricing on October 26, 2026, and list only what they publish. Where a page says nothing about OAuth, code ownership or directory help, we say so.
  • We sorted by the buyer each firm fits, from a fixed-price first release to enterprise programs. The order is not a score.
  • We judged on what directory review asks for: remote hosting, OAuth per customer, read tools split from write tools, confirmation before writes, and docs a reviewer can read. Anthropic's requirements come from its own submission guide, read the same day.
  • Firms whose MCP service page we could not read on that date are left out rather than described from memory.
  • Modern Mustard Seed wrote this guide and builds Claude connectors. We are on the list, we say so, and every option gets the same space.

How much does it cost to have an MCP server built?

+

Published on October 26, 2026: RaftLabs starts at $10000 for a focused release, and Ronas IT lists $3,200, $6,400 and $10,000 floors. Simform's contact form starts at a $25K to $50K budget. Intuz, Saigon Technology, WiserBrand, Azumo, 10Clouds, Bitontree and Streebo publish no MCP price. Modern Mustard Seed quotes a set package price after a discovery call.

What does Anthropic require to list a connector in the Claude directory?

+

Per Anthropic's submission guide on October 26, 2026: a remote server reachable over HTTPS; OAuth 2.0 when tools act on a user's account, or no authentication for public data; a title and a readOnlyHint or destructiveHint on every tool; and a documentation URL, a privacy policy URL, an icon and test credentials for reviewers. Anyone on a paid Claude plan can submit.

Should we generate our MCP server instead of hiring a developer?

+

If your API is clean in OpenAPI and your engineers will own the server, a generator such as Speakeasy, Stainless or FastMCP can be the faster route. See the side-by-side at modernmustardseed.com/compare/mcp-generator-vs-custom-connector.
