What kind of website do you build?

Who designs the website?
I do. I am Sarah Scarano, website designer and AI product designer, and the founder of Modern Mustard Seed in Kalispell, Montana. I design and build every site we ship, from the first concept to launch day, and Anthony Scarano runs sales and marketing. You talk to the person doing the work.
Is the voice agent included with the website?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. The voice agent is its own discipline and it bolts onto any site, the one we build you or the one you already have. It answers your calls around the clock, qualifies the caller, books the job, and texts you the details. Commissioned together, the site and the agent become the Talking Website: one brain answering the page and the phone, scoped as a single engagement.
How much does a website cost?
There is no price list, because a ten page site for one town and a full engine with booking, a CRM, and a store are not the same piece of work. Every engagement is scoped in one conversation and quoted privately as a set package price, agreed in writing before anything is built. That number does not move, and changes to what we built are included permanently.
How fast does it go live?
A focused site is typically live within a week or two of kickoff. Deeper builds with booking, a store, or an embedded back office run two to six weeks depending on scope. You see the exact timeline in your proposal, next to the price, before any work begins.
How is this different from Wix, Squarespace, or an agency?
Wix and Squarespace are templates you rent and maintain yourself. An agency hands you a pretty brochure and a bill. We build a working engine you own outright: it captures the lead and follows up on its own, it can answer the phone too once you add the voice agent, and you get the repo, the domain, and every account on launch day. You are not renting it and you are not stuck with us.
Do I really own it?
Yes, fully. Every line of code, the domain, the hosting account, and every credential are transferred to you. You can hire any other engineer to change it later. There is no vendor lock-in and no per-seat fee.
Can I see the work before I commit?
Yes. Every site in the portfolio on this page is live right now and you can go poke around any of them. For engagements that reach the proposal stage, we design a full concept before either side commits, so you are approving real work rather than a description of it.
Can you build it on WordPress or Webflow?
No. Every site we ship is built on Next.js and hosted on Vercel, and that is not a limitation you feel. Anything you use as a WordPress or Webflow plugin, whether it is an agentic tool, a booking system, a CRM, a chat widget, or a payment processor, we wire in directly. You own the code, edits are included forever, and any JavaScript developer can pick it up if you leave. What you skip is the admin panel with thirty plugins that need updating every month.
What if I already have a website?
We can rebuild it as a working engine, or wire the parts you are missing onto what you have: the voice agent, the funnels, the SEO and GEO work. Say what you have in your inquiry and the first reply will tell you which of the two is actually worth your money.
