The Readable Copy: A Partner Site Built for the Engines a Brand Blocks
RINGANA's own websites ask every crawler, Google's and ChatGPT's included, to stay out, so we built a partner site to be the readable copy of its US range.

The build record
- Relationship
- Our own build: the partner site of Sarah Scarano, who designs and builds every site at this studio and is an Independent RINGANA Partner. RINGANA is not a client, did not commission this work and has not endorsed it.
- Location
- Kalispell, Montana. 102 pages in English, Spanish, German and Italian, among them 74 product pages and 16 blog posts.
- Challenge
- RINGANA's websites answer every crawler with disallow: /, so Google, Bing and ChatGPT describe the brand from whatever else they can read. Build the readable copy of the US range, inside the partner rules.
- Delivered functionality
- A page for every skincare, body, hair and oral-care product in RINGANA's own words with its full ingredient list, a blog that answers buyers first, RINGANA's product photos on 3D stages, its videos, structured data on every page, and twelve checks that stop a page from publishing.
Problem
RINGANA makes fresh skincare and supplements in Austria and sells them through independent partners. US ordering opened in October 2026. A buyer who hears the name does what every buyer does now: searches it, or asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI Overview what it is and where to get it.
The brand's own pages cannot answer that buyer. On November 1, 2026 we fetched the robots.txt file on ringana.com, ringana.us and an official partner shop:
$ curl -L ringana.com/robots.txt
User-agent: *
disallow: /
The same two lines came back from all three. disallow: / under User-agent: * asks every crawler that follows the standard, Googlebot, Bingbot and OpenAI's OAI-SearchBot among them, to read no page on the site. Google's documentation says a blocked page can still be listed, without a description. That is exactly what a Google search for "RINGANA" showed that morning: ringana.com at the top, and under it, "No information is available for this page."
How a brand runs its own site is the brand's call. It also leaves a gap, and the engines fill it with whatever they can read.
What the engines quote instead
On the morning of November 1, 2026, we ran the panel we run for every visibility engagement: 21 buyer searches on page one of Google and Bing, plus 103 answers from Google's AI Overviews, Bing, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude's web search. Every capture was saved with its engine and its time.
- Google showed an AI Overview on 19 of the 21 searches, and Bing a generated answer on 11.
- Beyond RINGANA's help center and the news, the pages those answers cited were other partners' blogs, Instagram posts, Facebook groups, Reddit threads and review sites.
- Asked who to buy through, ChatGPT named three partners, each by their own blog.
- The engines disagreed on a basic fact: the date US ordering opened.
That is the opening. When the official page cannot be read, the most readable, specific and trustworthy page about the brand is the page the answer quotes. An independent partner can build that page, as long as it stays inside the brand's rules.
Build
102 static pages at sarahscarano.com/ringana, written to be the readable copy of RINGANA's US range: the home and guide pages, a page for every product, and a blog.

- The partner rules run as code. Before a page is written to disk, the build reads the finished HTML and runs twelve checks against it. A page that fails one does not publish: the build stops and names the rule. Eight of the checks are RINGANA's partner rules and the law on income claims. The other four are two house rules and two switches, one that takes every page out of search at once and one that removes every product photo at once.
| Rule | A page does not publish if it |
|---|---|
| Required disclosure | is missing RINGANA's line, "These are not official webpages of RINGANA GmbH, Austria." |
| Partner title | does not say Independent RINGANA Partner, in the page's own language |
| No prices | shows a price |
| No discounts | mentions a discount or a sale |
| No health claims | makes a health claim |
| No income claims | promises income, including "be your own boss" (the FTC, and RINGANA's US rules) |
| Orders through the shop | has a cart or checkout of its own, or links anywhere but the partner shop, RINGANA's US site and the partner's own pages |
| Brand media only | shows an image or video that is not the partner's own or RINGANA's official embed |
- Every product, in RINGANA's words. The products page sorts the US range into face, body, hair, smile and supplements. Each product's name, tagline and description are RINGANA's, word for word. Supplements show their names only. Every product links to the partner shop, so every order is placed with RINGANA.

- A page for every product. Each of the 37 skincare, body, hair and oral-care products has its own page in English and Spanish, 74 in all: RINGANA's headline, tagline and description, the ingredients RINGANA highlights with RINGANA's own lines, the full ingredient list and its notes, RINGANA's own categories for step, skin type and care area, breadcrumbs, and the shop button. That is one readable answer for every product a buyer can search by name.

- The products as objects. RINGANA's own product photos, trimmed and resized and nothing retouched, stand on 3D stages: a floor shadow under each bottle, a lift toward the pointer, a light streak as it scrolls in. A parade of 43 products moves across a night band under each home page hero, with a pause button, arrow-key control and a still layout for anyone who asks their device for reduced motion.

- A close-up for every product. Any product opens full screen with RINGANA's name, tagline, hero ingredients and the shop button. Arrows, swipe and the arrow keys move through all 43, and closing it returns focus to the product that opened it.

- RINGANA's own videos. Short routines from RINGANA's official YouTube channel, played through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed, in phone frames.
- Four languages. Every product page and post in English and Spanish for US buyers, and home pages in German and Italian for the people who already know RINGANA from Europe. Every page names its translations with hreflang, so each engine serves the right one.

- A blog that answers buyers first. Eight posts in English and Spanish, each opening with the answer to one question buyers ask, among them how to order in the US, whether RINGANA is legit, what fresh means, the routine step by step, the routine by skin type, a gift guide, and RINGANA in the US for people who know it from Europe. Every link inside a post is checked at build; a missing page or an outside link stops it.

- Structured data that ties the name to the title. Every page carries a Person record for Sarah Scarano with the job title Independent RINGANA Partner, Montana and the United States as the area served, and sameAs links to the partner shop and LinkedIn. Product pages add a BreadcrumbList. The blog carries Blog and BlogPosting records, and every page with questions on screen carries an FAQPage built from them. There is no Product, Offer, price, review or rating markup, because none of that belongs on a partner page.
- Readable by machines. Every word is in the HTML the server sends, so a crawler reads the page without running a script. robots.txt names Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Claude's search crawler and lets each one in, and the sitemap lists all 102 pages.
- Accessible. Built to WCAG 2.2 AA and checked with axe-core on every page at desktop and phone widths: text contrast, keyboard paths, focus that returns where it started, a pause control on anything that moves.
Outcome
The pages are live at sarahscarano.com/ringana. Every product links to the partner shop, so every order is placed in RINGANA's official checkout. Nothing on the site sells, discounts or promises.
The results are not in yet. Rankings and ChatGPT's answers move over weeks, a single snapshot is not a trend, and we do not publish a number we have not measured.
What we measure next
- The same 21 searches on page one of Google and Bing, in a signed-out browser, including the Spanish, German and Italian ones.
- The same questions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude's web search and Google's AI Overviews.
- Whether each engine connects the name Sarah Scarano to the title Independent RINGANA Partner.
- The number to move: the share of answers that cite the site.
The first rerun is seven days after the pages open to search, then the first of every month. Results go on this page as they are measured, each with its engine and its date.
What we will not do to move that number: buy links, swap links, write or script reviews, build a network of copied partner sites, or promise anyone a rank.
Stack
One Node build script writes every page as static HTML, so the words are in the source and the pages load without JavaScript. Schema.org JSON-LD for the structured data. AVIF and WebP images at two sizes. RINGANA's videos through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed. Hosted on Vercel.
What this is, generally
An independent seller of a brand works under a website someone else owns. The brand's site sells the brand. The page it gives its sellers is a template, the same for everyone. Some brands close their sites to crawlers altogether. None of those pages can say who you are, where you work, or answer a buyer's questions in your words.
The method holds for an insurance agent, a franchise owner, an agent at a brokerage, a travel advisor or an authorized dealer: build the most readable, specific page about the brand in your lane, build the brand's rules in so the page cannot break them, and measure what the engines say. That is the site we build for independent agents, franchise owners and dealers. The longer argument is in why your parent brand's website won't get you found.
