Problem

Faith fashion is a vacuum. Most of what exists is either kitschy or low-craft. There is a serious market for reverent, beautifully made apparel that does not apologize for what it stands for and does not look like a Sunday school t-shirt.

Build

Cross + Covenant is a direct-to-consumer faith apparel brand built around two production tiers and a brand voice that takes itself seriously.

  • Headless storefront. Next.js front end, Shopify Storefront API for inventory, cart, and checkout. WebGL particle hero on every collection page. Cormorant Garamond plus DM Sans, bone and ash and gold.
  • Two-tier production. Entry collection runs on Printify with Comfort Colors and Independent Trading Co blanks. Signature collection runs on Apliiq with hand-numbered editions and a live edition counter backed by Upstash KV.
  • Sanctuary Redirect routing. Custom domain (.co not .com) routes through a Vercel project with a redirect map for legacy URLs and campaign-specific landings.
  • SEO and GEO stack. Full sitemap, robots, llms.txt, JSON-LD on every collection and product, per-route metadata.

Outcome

The first full collection went live with WebGL hero, structured data, the signature tier infrastructure, and a working checkout in under 60 days. The brand reads like a high-fashion house. It performs like a Shopify store.

Shopify Storefront API for commerce, Printify and Apliiq for the two production tiers, Next.js 16 for the storefront, Three.js for the WebGL hero, Upstash KV for the edition counter, Vercel for the deploy and routing.

What this is, generally

What it looks like when a brand and a product ship together inside one engagement. The store is not separate from the design system, the design system is not separate from the production strategy. One operator, 60 days, a working brand at the end.
