Connector builds / For booking and scheduling software

The calendar answers in a sentence.

A Claude or ChatGPT connector for booking and scheduling software lets a studio owner, tour operator or clinic manager ask where the open slots are, move an appointment, hold spots for a group, or find clients who have not rebooked. Availability reads come live from your system, never cached. Every booking change shows the exact slot and the person affected, then waits for a yes. Xola, SimplyBook.me and Calendly already offer MCP servers, and I build yours on your API.

Nine of our tools are listed in Anthropic’s Claude directory.

What your customers would ask

The jobs they would do in Claude.

Reads answer at once. Anything that changes data drafts first and waits for a yes. Tool names here are illustrative: yours map to the real endpoints in your API docs.

Where are the gaps on Saturday, by instructor?

  1. get_availabilityRead only

  2. list_staffRead only

A live read of open capacity, grouped the way the owner thinks about it.

Move Dana’s Tuesday 3pm to Thursday at the same time and let her know.

  1. find_bookingRead only

  2. reschedule_bookingWrite, held

  3. confirm_actionApproval step

The new slot is checked for conflicts and shown in the business’s time zone before anything moves.

Hold six spots on the 14th for the Riverside school group.

  1. hold_capacityWrite, held

A hold drafts first, so a mistyped date never blocks a real day of bookings.

Who came in last spring and has not booked since?

  1. list_clientsRead only

The win-back list, without an export to a spreadsheet.

Design notes for this category

What I design around in booking.

Scheduling looks simple and is not. These are the decisions I make before the first tool exists:

  • Fresh reads. Availability changes by the minute, so the availability tool always calls your API and never answers from a cache.
  • Double booking. Every write re-checks the slot at confirm time, not just at draft time, because a real customer can book it in between.
  • Time zones, stated. Every time the connector shows or writes is labeled with the business’s zone, since owners, staff and clients often sit in different ones.
  • Notifications are writes. Telling a client their slot moved sends a message, so it sits behind the same approval step as the move itself.

Marketplaces and resellers

If you run a marketplace too.

Some booking platforms serve two audiences: the businesses that run the calendar and the resellers or guests who book into it. Those are two different connectors with two different sign-ins. If that is you, I scope it as a Connector Suite so both share one approval pattern and one security review, instead of two separate builds.

The category is moving

Already in the assistants in your category.

These companies publish official MCP servers today. Each line is read from the company’s own page, linked.

The package that fits

Connector Build

One scheduling product is a Connector Build. A business side and a reseller or guest side is Connector Suite.

Your customers do their real work in your product from inside the assistant they already use. Set scope, set price, quoted in the conversation, and changes to what we built are included.

Straight answers

What teams ask next.

Can a client book through the connector, or only staff?

Either, depending on who signs in. A staff connector reads and changes the business calendar; a client-facing one books into open slots for the signed-in client. Most companies start with the staff side.

How do you stop the assistant from double booking?

The write re-checks availability at the moment of confirmation, and refuses with a clear message if the slot was taken in the meantime.

Can it take deposits?

Not as a charge. Anthropic does not accept connectors that transfer money, so deposits stay in your product’s own checkout and the connector can share the link.

One next step

Send me your API docs.

Tell me your product and where your API reference lives. I will come back with the jobs your customers would do in Claude and ChatGPT, the tools I would build, and the package that fits. Managed for you, end to end, and the code is yours.

Claude is a product of Anthropic, and ChatGPT is a product of OpenAI. Modern Mustard Seed is an independent studio and is not affiliated with or endorsed by either.
