Connector builds / For vacation rental software

Every property, one question away.

A Claude or ChatGPT connector for vacation rental software lets a host or property manager ask which arrivals this week still need check-in details, which guest messages are waiting, what a quote for given dates comes to, and who is cleaning on Friday. Reads answer at once. Sending a message, issuing a quote or accepting an inquiry drafts first and waits for a yes. Hospitable and Guesty already ship official MCP servers, and I build yours on your API.

Nine of our tools are listed in Anthropic’s Claude directory.

What your customers would ask

The jobs they would do in Claude.

Reads answer at once. Anything that changes data drafts first and waits for a yes. Tool names here are illustrative: yours map to the real endpoints in your API docs.

Which arrivals this week still have no check-in instructions sent?

  1. list_reservationsRead only

  2. list_messagesRead only

Cross-checks the arrivals list against what each guest has actually received.

Quote the lake house for six guests, four nights from June 12.

  1. get_quoteRead only

  2. send_quoteWrite, held

  3. confirm_actionApproval step

The quote is computed by your rules, shown in full, and only sent after the host confirms.

Accept the Patel inquiry and send them the welcome note.

  1. accept_inquiryWrite, held

  2. send_messageWrite, held

  3. confirm_actionApproval step

Both actions are drafted together, so the host sees the booking and the message before either goes out.

Which reviews from last month mention the hot tub?

  1. list_reviewsRead only

One search across every property instead of opening each listing.

Design notes for this category

What I design around in vacation rentals.

Rental data mixes owners, guests and staff, and each one should see a different slice. The calls I make up front:

  • Scope by property. A co-host who manages three listings signs in and sees three, through OAuth scopes that mirror your own permissions.
  • Guest data stays narrow. Tools return what the question needs, not full guest profiles, and the privacy page names every category of personal data the connector touches.
  • Messages are writes. Anything a guest will read goes behind the approval step, because a model-drafted message sent at the wrong moment costs a review.
  • Your pricing rules decide quotes. The connector asks your API for the quote; it never does the math itself.

Why it is worth doing

The same questions, every day.

A host with five properties fields the same questions every day: who arrives, who has the code, who is cleaning, who wrote in. Answering those from a chat with the real reservation data, and acting with one confirmation, is the job your product already does, in the place the host already is.

The category is moving

Already in the assistants in your category.

These companies publish official MCP servers today. Each line is read from the company’s own page, linked.

What we have shipped

Built and running, not a deck.

The package that fits

Connector Build

One rental platform is a Connector Build. A PMS plus a separate operations or guest app is Connector Suite.

Your customers do their real work in your product from inside the assistant they already use. Set scope, set price, quoted in the conversation, and changes to what we built are included.

Straight answers

What teams ask next.

Can a cleaner or co-host use it?

Yes, with their own sign-in. They see the properties and tasks their account already has in your product, nothing more.

Will it send messages to guests on its own?

No. Every message is drafted and shown to the host, and goes out only after they confirm in the chat.

Can it take a guest’s payment or issue a refund?

No. Anthropic’s directory does not accept connectors that transfer money. Payments and refunds stay in your product, and the connector can read their status.

One next step

Send me your API docs.

Tell me your product and where your API reference lives. I will come back with the jobs your customers would do in Claude and ChatGPT, the tools I would build, and the package that fits. Managed for you, end to end, and the code is yours.

Claude is a product of Anthropic, and ChatGPT is a product of OpenAI. Modern Mustard Seed is an independent studio and is not affiliated with or endorsed by either.
